"One Of The Alaska Kenai Peninsula's Best Kept Secrets"
Kasilof River /May/June-
Alaska King fishing begins with the bait opener on May 16th, and peaks during the month of June. The Kasilof River is a fishery like no other, and is highly requested amongst repeat guests.
The average King Salmon is smaller than those in the Alaska Kenai River, but they are more plentiful, and the drift boat only regulations create an extremly pleasant atmosphere that folks can't wait to get back to. This trip is highly recommended, no matter what time of year you decide to visit.
Kasilof River /July -
Shhhhhhh... don't tell anyone, but the Alaska Kasilof River is one of the best kept secrets on the Alaska Kenai Peninsula during the month of July. While everyone is distracted by the lure of the Alaska Kenai River, some folks choose to try their luck on the Alaska Kasilof River instead... and they are often rewarded with giant Alaska King Salmon that average 30-40 lbs, very little traffic/company, and an experience they will never forget.
"One of my personal favorite trips are drift boat trips for Alaska Silver Salmon on the Kasilof River during August and September"
Kasilof RiverAugust/September -
One of my personal favorite trips are drift boat trips for Silver Salmon on the Kasilof during August and September. You may only see a handful of other fishermen all day long, fishing is generally fantastic, and the intimate feeling of hooking up with a silver salmon while back bouncing right at the boat is like nothing else.
